Charlene May Folwell O'Dell,
54 , passed away at home Saturday (March 22, 2014) following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Folwell O'Dell was born on June 15, 1959 in Rochester to George E. and Delores M. (Coules) O'Dell. On July 4, 1977 she married the love of her life, Frank J. Folwell, who survives. Charlene devoted her life to her family by caring for their needs and providing a loving, happy home life. In addition to her husband, Charlene is survived by five daughters, Shannon Kelsey, Shanna O'Dell, Brittney O'Dell, and Brandy O'Dell all of Andover, and Chanel O'Dell of Wellsville; two sons, Mathew O'Dell of Wellsville and Scott O'Dell of Oregon, Ohio; a nephew nurtured in her home and raised as a son, Leroy O'Dell; her mother, Delores O'Dell; one brother, William G. (Debbie) O'Dell of Rochester; two sisters, Valerie Gregg, and Carla Monda, both of Rochester; 11 grandchildren, Hannah Kelsey, Emily Kelsey, Adam Kelsey, Isabelle Kluck, Erin Johnson, Evan Buchholz, Autumn O'Dell, Bentley Monahan, Kylee Williams, Kaylee Williams, and Aevuh-Lanaeh O'Dell, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by two sons, Adam O'Dell and Roy O'Dell; and one sister, Mary Jane Deprez. Charlene was a competitive Bingo player. Many summer evenings were spent at the Woodhull Raceway cheering for her favorite drivers. She also greatly enjoyed fishing. For Charlene, the time best spent was when she was with her family who meant everything to her. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m. at Baker Swan Funeral Home in Andover. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor James Gardner, officiating. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Charlene's name may be made to the Diabetes Center at Jones Memorial Hospital, 191 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY 14895. |
