Verne was a lifelong music lover which began during his guitar playing days. He was an avid artist where it came out in his drawings and pottery work. He loved nature and animals, whether domestic or wild. In later years, he volunteered his time to many causes. To him, everything was “beautiful” and that word was his favorite to describe the world around him.
There will be no prior visitation. A private graveside memorial service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Alfred Station at the convenience of the family with Rev. Laurie DeMott of the Union University Church in Alfred, officiating. She will be assisted by Verne’s brother-in-law, Rev. Daniel Stiller.
