Mr. Burton was born on July 30, 1926 in Corning to Seth and Elizabeth (Jones) Burton. He served in the U. S. Army from 1946-47. On July 10, 1951, in Corning, he married Laura I. Saxton, who survives. Robert worked as a dairy barn inspector for Dairylea from 1967 until his retirement in 1991. Previously he owned and operated with his wife the Burton Dairy Farm in Addison. In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, Bob is survived by a daughter, Irene Burton of Andover; two sons, Seth (Christine) Burton of Greenwood and John Burton of Andover; three grandchildren, Angela (Jacob) Brewster, Steven Burton and Ryan Burton; one great granddaughter, Makaila Brewster; two special children, Caitlin Dean and Cameron Gordon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Burton and a sister, Mary Harrington. Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved mowing his lawn with his John Deere tractor. He was a member of the Andover Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and the Wellsville American Legion. But mostly, he was a caring husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Andover Christian & Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Philip Barner, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.
