In addition to her parents, Tatika is survived by a daughter, Katonah A. Cain of Hornell; a son, Kyle Cain of The Bronx, N.Y.; four sisters, Jessica A. (Mike) Leonard of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Lisa M. Hogue of Lubbock, Tex., Amber J. Gutierre of Rochester and Danielle Jaworski of Savannah, Ga.; three brothers, David F. Tatika would want you to know as a result of her diabetes and other health concerns, she struggled with finding a balance to life. As a young child, she gave her heart to the Lord. Growing up, she was always lively and busy. As a young adult, she took up journaling, often putting to paper the thoughts she was experiencing. Tatika loved to cook. A favorite pastime of hers was collecting recipes for a new meal. She enjoyed browsing the grocery isles looking to put her latest recipe to good use.

Tatika enjoyed crafting, especially doing latch hook with her daughter, Katonah. She also liked to string beads. In each archway of her home, she had multiple strings of floor to ceiling beads. Tatika was proud of being independent and self-supporting.

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined.
