Aletha E. Hahn, 89, passed away Saturday (April 9, 2016) at Highland Health Care Center in Wellsville.
     
Mrs. Hahn was born on Aug. 8, 1926 in Andover to Harold L. and Marie I.(Ordiway) Perry.
     
Aletha worked in food service at Alfred State College for 25 years.
     
Aletha is survived by a son, Leslie Hahn of Andover; one brother, Kenneth Perry of Randleman, N.C.; two sisters, Phyllis Grimes of Portville and Marita (Tom) Routh of Randleman, N.C., one brother-in-law, Vince Burrows of Andover, one sister-in-law, Ione Perry of Silver Creek; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
     
She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert Perry, Keith Perry and infant Harold Perry; and two sisters, Norma Burrows and Catherine Phillipson.
     
Aletha was a self described homebody. She liked to host family reunions, work puzzle books and read romance novels. She was a great mother with her son’s favorite memories being the times they spent together, especially the summer county fairs. She was a long time member of Andover First Baptist Church.
     
There will be no prior visitation. The memorial service will be held on Saturday (May 28) at 11:00 a.m. at Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover with Rev. Calvin Densmore of the Andover First Baptist Church, officiating.
     
Arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover.
